We offer students a comprehensive experience in theater that teaches auditioning skills, character development and voice control.  We end the term with a showcase performance on the last night of class.

Theater classes are now closed for the winter/spring term. 
Registration for fall term begins in August 2010 for
Creative Dramatics, ages 5-6, Young Actors, ages 7-10,
Acting I and Acting II for ages 11 & up.

Theater Classes

Saturday Workshop Series

for ages 6 & up unless noted.  Advance registration required.

A tea party and art workshop for girls and their 18 “ dolls.  Travel to Paris, visit the Louvre and make art inspired by your visit.   Then enjoy some treats at our French café.

Summer Classes and Programs
Registration with full payment by June 8 is required for these classes. 
Classes begin week of June 21.   $57 includes all supplies.

Summer Sketch

You know you like to draw.  Spend some time this summer and learn how to do it better. Relaxed, yet structured. 

The Art of Summer

For ages 6 & up

Summer brings out the creativity in us all. 
Each week create a different work of art in this class that uses a variety of materials. 

Art and Science
Tuesdays, 5:30-6:45 PM

6 weeks beginning June 22

For ages 7 & up
In this fun new art and science series students will make their own lava lamp, create weird recycled art by melting stuff, travel through space and make a kaleidoscope.  

A New Fine Arts Camp

Girls grades 4 and up.  Check out the new fine arts camp at the Camp O’ the Hills
featuring many instructors from Jackson School of the Arts.  You can take musical theater or visual art  with landscape painting , pottery and mosaics.)  There are residential and day camps available.  Membership in Girl Scouts is not required.  Call 592.6373 or visit www.gshom.org

Looking for more opportunities? The Jackson School of the Arts has teamed up with the Girl Scouts to create a new fine arts camp.  Girls entering grades 4 and up may attend either a residential or day camp.  www.gshom.org
