Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? A square shaped sponge of yellow and you! This fun summer themed mini production based off of the musical will tell the tale of an underwater volcano about to erupt and the dastardly Plankton who’s up to no good. Join our band of bikini bottom dwellers as they work together to save all of the ocean blue! Featuring long loved characters such as SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, Gary the Snail, and more! This mini production will conclude with a performance on Friday, August 2nd.

Mamma Mia! Join us for a fun vibrant summer class where we’ll prepare a medley of the classic Abba songs featured in the iconic musical and movie, “Mamma Mia!” Set against a background of the colorful Grecian islands, this medley will have your student twirling in island skirts, singing in flippers and goggles, and more! Laugh and sing to hit songs from the popular timeless story. Performance will take place on July 31st.

Block by block build an adventure at JSA this summer. This fun themed theater camp is sure to bring your child’s imagination to life. Create and build games and art while preparing and learning theater skills using a performance based on the popular video game, “Minecraft” and the book series, “Accidental Minecraft family.” This five day camp will give your child a creative outlet this summer. Your child will, “straight up dig” this camp. Parent showcase is on August 2nd at 11:15.

Water, Air, Earth, Fire. Long ago the four nations lived together in Harmony, but all that changed when the fire nation attacked, only the avatar master of all four elements could defeat them but when the world needed him most he vanished. 100 years has passed and the new avatar, an Airbender named Aang, has been found in an iceberg by a water bender named Katara and her brother Sokka. Join us for this interactive summer camp where your student will enjoy element themed days, become a bender of one of the four elements, and present a short skit at the end based off of book 1 of the original animated series and the newly released live action series. The camp will include 5 days of afternoon fun and snacks for your tween/teen.
Parent performance will be on August 2nd at 3:15.

Emotions, Emotions! Are you mad, glad, sad or even angry? Try this fun interactive class that will help young students learn to act different emotions as they capture this fun uplifting movie. Join us on January 8 and allow your child to create and explore theater in a smaller classroom setting.

Love is in the air, and so is mischief! Join us as we venture through the forest of Athens where we will meet the fairy King and Queen and other characters traveling through the woods on Midsummer’s day. We will also go over the basics of Shakespearean language, so, if you’ve never read Shakespeare before, or you are familiar with his works, this is the class for you!

Follow the lives of a group of friends in High School as Sandy and Danny try to break out of their stereotypical roles. This fun upbeat musical will allow your child an opportunity to recreate the iconic songs that both parents and grandparents will enjoy. Go Grease Lightning starting on January 11.

Calling all lost boys and girls! Join Peter Pan, Wendy and Tinkerbell on an adventure of a lifetime. Journey through the land that never sleeps and watch Peter Pan and friends defeat the one and only Captain Hook. This fun mini production ends with a special performance at our annual Fairy Festival.

One word, “The Plastics”…..can Cady navigate the cruel tactics of dealing with popularity and social injustices as she tries to navigate her way through high school in America. A once sheltered and homeschooled student who grew up in Africa deals with all the cadiness and “meanness” of the one and only, Regina. Watch Cady learn the meaning of finding security in one self and not altering who you are to fit into the hierarchy of social cliques. Join us for this unique take on this fun movie on January 10

Jackson School of the Arts outstanding theatre program is led by gifted artists with advanced degrees and extensive acting experience. We also focus on the needs and skills of each student to help them along their artistic journey.
We offer private lessons in acting, voice (vocal music) and stage choreography for all ages and skill levels.
