Clogging is a truly American dance form that began in the Appalachian Mountains and now enjoys widespread popularity throughout the United States and around the world. At its core, Clogging is a means of personal expression and we want to bring its high energy and fun to an extended audience.
Clogging introduces you to a wide variety of music genres instead of focusing on 1 or 2. Its rhythms focus on the heartbeat of the music rather than the lyrics. Clogging allows you to really feel the music while you’re dancing along.

Feel the rhythm from the ground up in this high-energy class that combines the sharp, syncopated sounds of tap dance with the dynamic, driving footwork of clogging. Dancers will explore both styles while learning how to use their feet as powerful percussion instruments.
This class focuses on timing, rhythm, clarity of sound, and musicality, providing students with the opportunity to develop coordination and confidence in both traditional and contemporary styles. Whether you’re new to percussive dance or building on existing skills, this class will be the perfect way for you to sharpen your skills.
A Clogging Fundance hosted at our new Downtown facilities in December 2021. This energy-packed event had dancers come from different parts of Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. All ages were able to dance, laugh, and bond as a clogging family. We had participants with no clogging experience who were able to join, learn and have fun.
Our Clogging Dance instructor, Chris and his son put on a great demonstration at the Bright Walls festival in 2019.
One of the youth Clogging performances from our 2022 recital — this one with a strong 90s vibe!
