New Possibilities
Jackson School of the Arts’ Aerial & Cirque Arts program combines contemporary circus arts with dance technique to create strong, versatile performers. Students train on aerial hoop, hammock, and silks while developing strength, flexibility, coordination, artistry, and body awareness through structured, safety-focused instruction. Every skill is introduced through careful progressions, with students advancing only after demonstrating proper technique and control.
Students may choose a skills-based pathway focused on technical development or progress into performance-based classes as they advance. Additional dance training is strongly encouraged for all aerial students, as dance technique supports artistry, movement quality, and continued growth. Certain advanced levels require concurrent enrollment in dance classes.
Students interested in multidisciplinary performance opportunities may audition for the JSA Aerial Performance Team.
