Job Type: Part-Time (Afterschool & Summer Hours)
Reports To: Art Program Manager
Schedule: Monday evenings, 4:00–7:30 PM (June–July 2026)
Compensation: $18–$20/hour

Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate, creative, and experienced Art Instructor to join our team. This role focuses on fostering an appreciation of art while teaching techniques across various media to students ages 4–13.

The ideal candidate will create an engaging, inclusive classroom environment that encourages self-expression, creativity, and skill development.

Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Development: Plan and implement structured, age-appropriate art lessons that encourage creativity and skill-building
Instruction: Teach techniques across multiple media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, clay, and mixed media
Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized studio environment
Student Engagement: Adapt projects and instruction to meet varying attention spans and learning needs
Mentorship: Encourage creativity and support the unique development of each student
Collaboration: Participate in staff meetings and training as needed

Qualifications
Required:
Experience teaching art in an academic or community setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage a classroom and maintain organization

Preferred:
Associate’s degree (or higher) in Fine Arts, Art Education, or related field
Experience with digital tools and classroom technology (e.g., projectors)
Knowledge of art history and contemporary practices
Experience working with students of varying abilities, including those with disabilities or special needs
Experience in a nonprofit or mission-driven environment

Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift 25–40 lbs (supplies and equipment)

Dance Program Manager (Part-Time)

Dance Program Manager (Part-Time)

Reports To: Executive Director
Start Date: No later than August 1, 2026
Compensation: $20–$25/hour, based on experience and fit
Hours: 15–25 hours per week, varying seasonally based on program needs

Position Overview
The Dance Program Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership, management, and execution of JSA’s dance program, serving 500–600 students ranging from early childhood through adult.

This role blends teaching, program management, staff leadership, and administrative oversight. It requires someone who can manage a complex, high-volume program while staying grounded in the classroom experience.

Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Growth: Lead the ongoing development and growth of the dance program and ensure programming remains high-quality, accessible, and aligned with organizational goals

Staff Management & Instructional Leadership: Manage and support dance instructors, provide guidance on classroom management and curriculum, support instructors in navigating diverse student needs, foster a strong team culture, and step into classrooms as needed

Program Planning & Execution: Build and manage class schedules for the school year and summer, develop workshops and intensives, and ensure effective class structure and enrollment flow

Performances & Events: Lead planning and execution of the annual recital, holiday performances, and outreach events, including costuming, scheduling, staffing, and event-day management

Dance Store Management: Oversee dance store operations, manage inventory and organization, align offerings with class needs, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accessibility

Administrative & Operational Support: Collaborate with administrative staff, support enrollment and program logistics, and maintain organization across a high-volume program

Qualifications
Required:
5–10+ years of dance instruction experience
Strong classroom management and instructional skills
Experience working with children across a range of ages and abilities
Organizational and administrative experience
Ability to manage people, schedules, and competing priorities

Strongly Preferred:
Experience managing a dance studio or similar program
Experience in additional disciplines such as gymnastics, theatre, or visual arts, with an understanding of cross-department collaboration
Experience supporting students with disabilities, learning differences, or behavioral needs

Summer Childcare Team Member (Part-Time or Full-Time)

Compensation: $14–$19/hour, based on experience, availability, and fit
Schedule: Shifts scheduled between 7:30 AM and 5:30 PM, Monday–Friday

We are hiring Childcare Team Members for our summer Childcare Academy. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children and want to be part of a collaborative, team-based classroom environment.

Our summer childcare program serves children ages 3–8 and includes a balance of structured activities, creative exploration, and arts-based experiences.

Duties for this role include:

• Support daily classroom activities, including structured lessons, play-based learning, and arts-based programming
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for children
• Build positive relationships with children that support confidence, self-regulation, and engagement
• Help guide small groups of children throughout the day in a collaborative classroom setting
• Support implementation of daily schedules, including transitions, activities, and routines
• Assist with snack and lunchtime supervision
• Supervise children during restroom use and outdoor play
• Observe children and communicate important developmental or behavioral notes to the team
• Follow all licensing guidelines and maintain compliance with safety and supervision standards
• Assist in classroom setup, cleanup, and daily organization
• Provide comfort and support to children as needed throughout the day
• Help maintain structure and flow in the classroom, including stepping in to support when needed

Qualifications:

• Age 16 or older
• Experience working with children (babysitting, nannying, camp, classroom, etc.)
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and a positive, dependable attitude
• Comfort working with children ages 3–8

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a classroom, childcare center, or early childhood setting
• Familiarity with child development and age-appropriate practices
• Willingness to learn and follow state licensing rules and regulations

Schedule & Compensation:

• Summer seasonal position
• Approximately 15–40 hours per week, depending on availability and role needs
• Hourly rate: $14–$19/hour, based on experience and fit

This is a strong opportunity for individuals with experience in gymnastics or competitive cheer who are interested in working with youth and contributing to a positive, structured class environment.

Key Responsibilities
Assist in leading drills across bars, beam, vault, and floor
Support lead instructors in maintaining a safe and organized class environment
Engage students and help reinforce skill development

Maintain a consistent weekly class schedule

Qualifications
Required:
Experience in gymnastics or competitive cheer

Reliability and consistency in scheduling
