Booking & Payment Policies

• *NEW* Instructors are responsible for building entry.
  Booking times are often available when administrative staff are offsite. Instructors must utilize their keycard for entry as well as manage student entry and exit from the building.

• All studio rentals must be paid at the time of booking.
  Bookings are not confirmed until payment is complete. Instructors must pay to reserve and use the studio, regardless of whether or not their student has paid them.

• No “pay later” exceptions.
  If a student plans to pay you later, that does not delay or waive your responsibility to pay JSA for your studio time. You must pay to use the space.

• Cancellation Policy – Full Refunds with 24+ Hours’ Notice
  If you cancel your booking at least 24 hours in advance, you’ll receive a full refund automatically within two business days. No need to request it—our system handles it for you.

• Last-Minute Student Cancellations – Use the Reschedule Option
  If a student cancels at the last minute, you are encouraged to reschedule your booking instead of forfeiting it.

  • You can reschedule a lesson even during the originally scheduled time.

  • Use the reschedule link in your original confirmation email from Calendly.

  • If you’re unsure when the makeup lesson will be, simply book a placeholder date far in the future—you can always reschedule again later.

• If JSA Cancels for Any Reason (e.g., weather, emergency building closure):
  You’ll receive an automatic full refund within two business days. No action is required on your part.

• Supporting Low-Income Students
  If you are offering a deeply discounted or free private lesson to a student with financial need, please email info@jacksonarts.org so we can work with you on the studio rental fee. We want to support your generosity and ensure you are not taking a loss.
